Creative and entrepreneurial ideas. A master plan process looks at the big picture and into the future simultaneously. The challenge is to make actual physical room on the plan, and to articulate the specifics of ideas clearly for the client’s dreams to become reality. For example, the Madison Park Church wanted a speice center to be located near the church. krM researched what it would take for a large fitness center to be successful both from a target market research standpoint to the large footprint and parking imprint that the center would take on the master plan.

The church ultimately wants their land to be a ‘city on the hill’ that becomes a mini-city with amenities and opportunities that would allow for an individual to grow up in a church-centered community. So it was important to include room for both retail shops, as well as sidewalks and access for the surrounding residential public to access the grounds easily.

Because the church wanted to take advantage of the thousands of I-69 travelers going by their site each day, signage placement was also a discussion point. Ultimately, a community gathering plaza was proposed to be located near the church or center of the community that would be visible from the interstate and create a focal point for the church’s property.
